At Harman, Terry and his team improved shareholder returns via share buybacks, dividend increases, a transformation of its debt structure and the financing of multiple acquisitions with a combination of stock, debt and cash. He oversaw initiatives such as an innovative long-term currency hedging program, implementation of supply chain financing, restructuring of global liquidity pools post-2017 tax reform and adoption of enhanced business analytics.
Prior to Harman, Terry was VP, Treasurer of The Estée Lauder Companies Inc., where he implemented a successful recapitalization, a liability-driven pension investment strategy and an enterprise risk management process. Earlier in his career, Terry held FP&A and treasury positions of increasing responsibility in diverse areas of the IBM Corporation, including 5 years as an expatriate in Asia Pacific.
